Service Description
This class focuses on learning wheel throwing and using different techniques to create functional ceramic work. All instruction takes place on the pottery wheel. Students will work on improving form, consistency, and overall craftsmanship. All classes are for ages 13 and up. Our 6 week classes are small, maxed at 6 to 7 people, this ensures that each student gets the attention and education they deserve. Every class has two teachers present both with their MFA in ceramics. What’s Included: 25lb bag of clay Access to studio glazes, underglazes and tools Kiln firings for all work made in class Studio access outside of class hours (see below for details) Meet Your Instructors: You’ll learn from two experienced ceramicists, both holding MFAs in Ceramics from Alfred University: Jennifer Arnold – specializes in hand-building Just Emerson – specializes in wheel throwing Important Details: By signing up, you are committing to the full six-week schedule (starting Feb 25th). Please arrive on time each week. Students have access to the studio outside of class time during our regular student hours—just text us to check in!
